Default All of a sudden.. the tides have turned :D

Wow, traditionally ectos have always been the expensive one, but nowadays.. with these new traders, ectos and shards are NEVER in stock.

No longer do we see perspective buyers announcing upfront the prices they are willing to buy at, instead we see selling shooting the prices higher and higher now. Last I saw someone selling shards for 7 plat, with most going for 6.

I guess ANet has really created yet another boat load of issues, it used to be that people can just speculate on material prices (stocks and shares ), now they can essentially just outright take over the entire market by purging the stocks completely.

Which is a worse scenario? Could this be an act of The Hidden Coin? We'll see in the coming days!

The system is not in a good state to be taken advantage of.

I have noticed no one advertising prices but I have noticed that dye, materials have come down in price across the board with the exception being shards, ecto, black dye and Gold/Max Dmg stuff.

To be honest I give a lot of stuff (good stuff) away for free to guild members, party members I'm in with. They made the Fow Armor something to work for in game as opposed to before.

Um steel, linen, and leather have all gone up since the patch. At one time I've seen linen going for over 1k from the trader. Something is wrong.

Yes, trader sells for INSANE HIGH PRICE, yet gives you the absolute minimum when buying back, thats my only gripe, why sell for that high(meaning item demand is high) when you buy it for very low. I guess its to counter the selling to trader people, but it just encourages for people to sell very high too(while remaining lower than trader) or in case of ectos/shards, AS high as they want.

I don't know about that either. Last night I spent maybe 45 minutes in Ascalon unloading the fur squares I had in storage. A couple people bought in bulk, so I offered them for 150, but the rest I sold for 200 apiece. Why? Because the material trader's quote for them was 628... for a fur square!!! Damask was selling for something in the neighborhood of 1329 for a single bolt. Even bolts of cloth were at 240 for 10, which is quite high.

Materials have definitely NOT come down in price.

I do apolgize, I checked about two days ago and the didn't realize they were climbing.

Getting materials is easy for me to be honest, I share the account and our storage is nothing more then material holding, we both dump raw materials in storage for future crafting. Anything past 250 stack is for our own use outside of actual crafting.

Crafting is probably the way to go now.. probably.. except for the materials that can't be crafted.

Thank goodness I've long given up on the idea of FoW armor, good luck to those millionaires!
